I reside with myself and so
I want to be good for me to know.
I know my thoughts and hopes and fears,
What brings both happy and sad tears.
I cannot hide me from me,
I see the things others never see.
My personal goal as the years roll by,
Is to look myself straight in the eye,
Knowing I do the best I can do
For others and myself, too.
Spreading kindness along the way,
Lovingly living every day,
A woman who strives to always be,
A person who meets her own scrutiny.
